We are delighted to announce that PKF New Zealand has recently entered into a sponsorship agreement with Save the Kiwi, the national charity that collaborates with iwi, community groups, volunteers, organisations and the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai to protect and grow the kiwi population in New Zealand.
Save the Kiwi’s Kōhanga Kiwi program is a leading kiwi repopulation strategy, and they operate the Crombie Lockwood Kiwi Burrow, a facility that incubates and releases kiwi chicks. They also fund community kiwi conservation groups and raise awareness about the importance of kiwi conservation. This opportunity came to us via PKF Withers Tsang who have been involved with the group for some time now.
At PKF New Zealand, we are committed to helping Save the Kiwi reverse the decline of the national kiwi population and create more kiwi-safe habitats all over Aotearoa. Together we will work to bring increased awareness to the kiwi’s plight, how important this taonga is to New Zealand, and what people can do to help.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Save the Kiwi and look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the conservation of this iconic New Zealand species.
