Clear as Mud? Common Questions about Health & Safety

It has been over 2 years since the Health & Safety law changed in New Zealand.  This brief 1 hour workshop is to provide some clarity around some key questions businesses often ask around this.  Questions like:

  • What are my actual obligations under the law?
  • When I am working with other PCBU’s, who is responsible for the Health & Safety?
  • If I don’t have any employees, do I need a Health & Safety policy?
  • How do I know I am doing the right thing?

This seminar will be facilitated by Kelly Middleton.  Kelly has been an independent Health & Safety contractor since 2016.  Her business, KSM Consulting, provides advice and guidance around Health & Safety for all types of businesses throughout New Zealand.  She has an extensive background in Human Resources with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and Employment Relations from the University of Auckland, and nearing the completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from Massey University.  She has a broad range of experience with high risk industries, as well as corporate and low risk industries.  She believes that effective Health & Safety needs to be accessible and practical and works with clients to achieve this in a very positive and pro-active way.

Kelly is very knowledgeable in this field and is delighted to be presenting this workshop and shed some light on this important topic.
