At PKF Hamilton, we love working with clients and getting to know them. So, we think it’s only fair that you get to know us a bit better as well with our staff profiles. Today the spotlight is on accountant and member of our business advisory team Jesse Noorland.
Tell us a bit about your background:
I was born in Melbourne and moved over to New Zealand when I was two. I’ve played rugby my whole life along with getting into boxing. I went through Hamilton Boys’ High School and then Waikato University.
Why did you want to get into this type of role?
I’ve always loved numbers and was never very good at anything to do with creativity or writing so it seemed like the best option for me.
What do you love about working for PKF Hamilton?
The culture is second to none. The work crew is extremely friendly and we know how to work hard while having fun.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given and by whom?
My father told me: Keep your money in your wallet.
Tell us about your family:
My old lady is Greek and my old man is Dutch. I’m an only child who has always wanted a brother.
What do you do for fun?
Have a couple of cold beverages, watch sport and hang out with mates.
